about the designer
Emily B. Tomlinson, born and raised in Wilmington,NC , is one of the few who can claim to be a Wilmington native. After graduating from high school she attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for two years and realized she wanted to pursue a career in graphic design and marketing. In 2005, Emily graduated with honors from James Sprunt Community College with a degree in advertising and graphic design.
After graduation, Emily worked on the NBC show Surface in the art department. The frenzied atmosphere of a major production provided a unique graphic design experience. After her Surface experience, Emily pursued work as a freelancer which gave her the opportunity to design for various corporate, educational and non-profit organizations. This led to her position as the Marketing Director for a busy downtown real estate brokerage where she oversaw the advertising for the firm and its numerous development projects.
In her free time, Emily enjoys watching the Tar Heels and her husband's beloved Cincinnati Bengals. She also enjoys going to the beach and hanging out with friends and family. She is the proud mother of one dog, Buster and one cat, Katie.
